The worlds biggest drawing festival is underway and it is not too late to get involved. Come along to Oriel Bevan Jones Gallery, Ground Floor, 24 King Street, Carmarthen, SA31 1BS this October 21st-28th between 1 and 4pm daily.
Get involved with the current exhibition and take part in this Year’s Big Draw event. “Every drawing tells a story”, be inspired by Charlotte Cortazzi’s vibrant paintings and the wonderful wooden sculptures by Robert Jakes and create your own 3 dimensional story shape.
Using crayons, pens and pencils you can include images from the art work on display or simply use the work as a starting point and let your imagination go wild, add in words or narrative to help tell your story or leave the imagery speak for itself.
Make a wish or share a dream and conceal it in your story box then come back in February half term 2016 to see them on display in the gallery and find out if you are the lucky participant to win a £20.00 Oriel Bevan Jones Gallery voucher and a delicious chocolate hamper. Winners are drawn at random but you’ve got to be in it to win it.
If you fancy it yourself; if you have children off over half term; if you work with people who like being creative bring them along; if you are local or visiting the area; if you are caring for someone who might be interested; on your lunch break or… All ages and abilities welcome and all FREE.
Simply drop in and take part or if you would like to bring a group of individuals and would rather book a date and time to visit you are more than welcome to do so.
